 Urbanization is the process of development of towns and cities from the village due to various reasons like the growth rate of population, availability of modern facilities of livelihood and an easier and better mean of life.

1.UNPLANNED GROWTH OF URBAN AREAS:

The rapid concentration of population in urban areas lead to unplanned and nonsystematic growth of towns and cities

2.ACCOMMODATION:

The rapidly growing population is difficult to house in the already existing urban areas. Hence, the growth of slums and downtrodden areas occur on the fringes of towns and cities.

3.AVAILABILITY OF WATER:

As the amount of water level is our land is limited and the population is rising day by day. The amount of water is not sufficient for the growing population. Thus the price of water is also increasing.

4.UNEMPLOYMENT:

Rural areas cannot provide work to a large population due to various limitations. Scope of employment is comparatively higher and varied in urban areas. But the urban areas also have certain limitations in employing the people. Hence, a huge portion of the excepting population remains unemployed and the proportion of the total unemployed population gradually increases.

5.SEWAGE AND GARBAGE DISPOSAL:

The volume of disposal of solid and liquid wastes generated by the excess population is difficult to handle with the present sewage system of urban areas. Thus waste dumping and waterlogging of drains are common, especially in slum areas.

6. INSUFFICIENT TRANSPORT, EDUCATION, MEDICAL, AND OTHER FACILITIES:

The available transport, education, medical, and other facilities are not enough for the rapidly growing population but have some contribution to urbanization.

7 . POLLUTION AND ENVIRONMENT DEGRADATION:

Over Population causes, high rates of pollution, and over-use of resources causes environmental degradation.

8.EXHAUSTION OF FOSSIL FUELS:

An increase in population leads to excessive use of fossil fuels, which is reducing their amount from nature as well as causing pollution.

9.DESTRUCTION OF FOREST:

An increase in population demands more food for survival. Hence, the forests are being destroyed to create more agricultural fields. Forests are also being cleaned for the establishment of different types of industries.

10. SOCIAL PROBLEM:
