CAUSES OF URBANISATION IN INDIA:
• LIMITED SIZE OF AGRICULTURAL LAND:
The limited size of agricultural land in India cannot employ the whole rural population. Hence, unemployment, poverty, and other problems push the rural population to the urban centers in search of jobs.

• FREE LIFESTYLE :
Rural peoples in India are not much literate and believe in many superstitions. While urban life is much liberal and free from superstitions. Rural people thus tend to settle in urban areas.

People concentrate on the regions where there is economic and political stability rather than regions of disturbances. So people migrate from rural areas to urban centers.

People also settle in an urban area to get higher studies accurately from the colleges or universities situated in the urban centers.
• MEDICAL FACILITIES :
Due to the lack of medical facilities available in the rural areas people start settling to urban centers to get good medical facilities.
